Your iPhone may never break again thanks to BuffLabs

For anyone that has drooped their iPhone this new product is for you. It is more than a protective shield as this thing can literally take a brick.  Buff Labs’ transparent film for iPhone take more impact than most cases. They show it being tugged by a skateboard, hit by a hammer, jabbed by a screwdriver and yes, even a brick. Buff Labs  screen protector has four layers. They are called air the bubble-releasing silicon adhesive layer, a stretch resistant later, a shock dispersive cushioning layer, and a shock absorptive cushioning layer.

Buff Labs is a new company so these protectors are not in stores just yet.  Buff Labs is based in Asia so it is going to take a while for them to setup production. At the moment the only way to get one is if you are brave enough to venture into the eBay. The price tag is something like $30 to $45 per shield protector. I’m going to have to hold off until I can get this in the store or a review copy.

Apple iPad just keeps eating Blackberrys

Apple’s iPad pretty much owns the tablet market. It’s competitors really can not compare. Sorry competitors I have more bad news. iPad’s enterprise market share is growing. One wonders does more tablets mean less windows machines?

Good Technology a enterprise mobile services vendor reports that Apple’s iPad accounted for 96% of tablets activated at the companies that use the company’s services. The iPhone accounted for 53% of new phone activations. That is a very big percentage. It comes out to be about 71% of  mobile enterprise devices  iOS. That does not sound very good for Blackberry, Android  and Windows device.

Improvements and bug fixes:  - Improved Notifications speed - Fixed a number of Chat bugs - Made it easier to select filters in News Feed - Fixed a bug with the Notifications bar disappearing - Fixed a number of Photos bugs - Improved performance and stability overall ]

This is not however the Facebook’s iPad app. In fact Facebook has gone out of it’s way to removed the iPad app code from the latest version. That means if you update to this new version. The jailbreak tweak FaceForward to enable the Facebook for iPad app won’t work. So I would skip updating the app on your iPad for now.
